Registration Appeals

 

Under Section 31 of the Health Professions Act, if your application was refused or was accepted subject to conditions, you may request a review of the registration application decision by a panel of the CMA Council.

 

Any request for review must be made via email to info@albertamidwives.org within 30 days from your receipt of the decision. The request for review must be in writing and must set out your reasons why your application for registration should be approved with or without conditions.

 

If you wish to request a review of a registration application decision, the fee for this review by Council is C$300. Payments may be made by cash, cheque, or by email transfer to info@albertamidwives.org.

Land Acknowledgment

​

This land currently called Alberta is where the College of Midwives of Alberta (CMA) is situated, since colonialism. Long before our time, this land was the ancestral, traditional home to many Indigenous Peoples. CMA wishes to acknowledge and honour the 45 First Nations of people who were part of Treaty 6, 7, 8 signings, the Treaty 10 signings with the Metis Nations and the Indigenous Peoples, their elders past and present, who draw their ancestral lines from this land. Their history, language and culture have and will continue to influence this community. CMA honours Indigenous midwives past and present, as being integral to Indigenous Culture.
