Annual General Meetings

CMA Council approved in April 2022 an appointment process for new Registered Midwife Council Members. This represents a substantive change since elections and AGM will no longer be held! 

As per CMA's new Bylaws, the Appointment Committee (made up of two registrants and two public members) can focus on key skills and talents needed to fill the required positions on Council. This process will ensure Equity, Diversity and Inclusion are considered, and may even help with good geographic representation. Please look for opportunities to join Council and the process the Appointment Committee will utilize this year as an inaugural step.

As for the Annual General Meetings, CMA may use the previous AGM day to share information, provide learning opportunities, conduct forums and many more with our registrants.
